Panzerfaust in Box
Add a distinctive late-war German anti-tank accessory to your miniature scenes with this detailed Panzerfaust in Box model. Representing one of the Wehrmacht’s most recognisable infantry weapons of the Second World War, this compact piece is ideal for supply dumps, defensive positions, military vehicles and figures preparing for combat.
Historical Role
The Panzerfaust was a single-use, recoilless anti-tank weapon issued extensively to German forces during the later years of World War II. Designed to give individual infantrymen a portable means of engaging armoured vehicles at short range, it used a shaped-charge warhead mounted ahead of a simple launch tube. Panzerfaust weapons became particularly associated with close-quarters defensive fighting, including battles in towns, villages and fortified positions.
Distinctive Appearance
The weapon is immediately identifiable by its compact launch tube, simple firing mechanism and prominent bulbous warhead. Presented in its box, the model also captures the practical transport and supply context of this disposable weapon. These characteristic features make it an easily recognised detail within a German late-war scene. It receives the SPECIAL WEAPONS badge because the Panzerfaust was a distinctive specialist anti-tank weapon rather than ordinary infantry equipment.
Modelling Uses
This accessory is well suited to late-war Wehrmacht dioramas, ammunition stores, railway loading areas and roadside supply points. It can be placed beside infantry figures, inside defensive positions or near suitable military transport. Across the available sizes, it provides an evocative detail for model railways, wargaming displays and collectors seeking historically themed German equipment.
Fun Fact
The name “Panzerfaust” translates approximately as “armour fist” or “tank fist,” reflecting the weapon’s intended purpose as a compact infantry answer to enemy armour.
